Upon arrival in Agra you will be received by our representative, first we will visit Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Built on the banks of river yamuna, this site is the architectural synthesis of Hindu and central Asian design. The dying empress Mumtaz Mahal made emperor Shahjahan to build a tomb to remind the generations to come of their eternal love story. Across the river Yamuna stands Red fort, an imposing structure in red sand stones. We will continue our day our program to Red fort.

Red Fort
A construction of red sand stones with double style massive walls, the fort was conquered by first Mughal Emperor Babar and by his son Humayun. Later on this Agra Fort was redesigned by Akbar the great in 1565 AD. The Red Fort of Agra as well of Delhi witnessed the rise and fall of Mughal Empire. From the third Mughal emperor Akbar the great to his grandson Shahjhan and fifth Mughal Emperor, all of them contributed in blend of Hindu and Persian architecture of the fort. Alluring palaces and elegant gardens were constructed. It was once a gilded prison for Shahjahan.
